Sharon Van Etten and the Attachment Theory headlined this year’s Infinite Dream Festival in Iowa City. Studio One’s Cece Mitchell spoke with Van Etten about the musical family she’s created with her new band and her own kin.
For their first full-length album, Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham “pulled up the shag carpeting” on Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks’ 1973 album. Along the way, they made it their own.
Patti Smith and her band brought a career spanning performance to Iowa City as part of the Infinite Dream Festival.
